Work Experience
This April we were happy to provide a week’s work experience to Alf, a teenager from Leominster.
He was from a farming background and was interested to work for a company in an industry outside of farming. He picked sports pitch construction because of its parallels in terms of the machinery used and principles behind drainage etc.
What Alfie Did
During his week with ARC he chain harrowed a meadow and sowed wild grass seed at a local gardens. Our MD Ade took him to site to provide quotations and assess the work required. He helped our mechanic Joe, servicing and mending the kit we use. Later in the week he worked on a job putting in drainage trenches at a local equestrian facility, driving the tractor.
We loved having him on the team and we think he enjoyed it.
